More Information About Bee Colony Colapse World Wide Effect
This is one of the best articles I have read regarding bee die off, theories and implications. "DO YOU FIND CONCERN IN THE U. K. ABOUT THE GENERAL DECLINE OF POLLINATORS? Among educated people, yes. But amongst the general public, I don’t think they understand what bees do. Most people think that bees just produce honey. They don’t realize that their main function in life, the most important thing to us, is pollination. People don’t realize that without pollinating insects, we won’t have berries on trees and so won’t have birds. If we don’t have birds, it just works up the food chain." http://earthfiles.com/news/news.cfm?ID=1230&category=Environment |

Summer Ice Could Disappear As Soon As 2020, Leading Scientist Reports http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/18039460/Whether you believe that global warming is caused by the sun (Mars is heating up too) or by carbon emissions (there does seem to be a correlation between the rise of the industrial age and the rise of carbon in the atmosphere), there is something unusual happening with the global weather patterns. Maybe it is all just part of a larger earth-sun-cycle pattern but regardless, it is affecting more and more beings on the planet. South sea islands are being inundated, the traditional lifestyle of the Inuit is vanishing due to melting permafrost and other weather related variations, the drought in Africa continues and worsens, glaciers are melting in Alps, water rationing is starting in San Fransisco (a suggested reduction of 10%) and South Florida (a suggested reduction of 30%), the Colorado is at its lowest level in recorded history and we are currently living in a period of huge species extinction. I don't post these links to frighten people or to depress them and I hope that these links might never have that effect on the people who might read them. I post the links because I think that being aware is the best way to prepare. Water is a major issue for everyone in the near future. Think about where your water comes from, where the major energy sources for your area come from and where you food comes from and consider the alternatives you might have available should any of those supply lines be cut off. Some people might consider this an investment opportunity, investing time, intellect or assets in solar energy, alternate home construction, seed banks and greenhouses and desalination technology. Other might well see it an opportunity for humanitarian outreach and personal transformation. One thing is for sure, most problems don't get better by just avoiding looking at them. Change comes no matter what you believe and the best way to adapt is to find a way to surf the wave. |

Protein Links T Rex to Chicken http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/6548719.stm"Protein extracted from 68 million-year-old T. rex bones has shed new light on the evolutionary link between dinosaurs and birds. Researchers compared organic molecules preserved in the T. rex fossils with those of living animals, and found they were similar to chicken protein. The discovery of protein in dinosaur bones is a surprise - organic material was not thought to survive this long. " |
